Pakapol Wannao

b. 1999, Bangkok, Thailand

Pakapol Wannao is a Thai artist and art director whose practice spans photography, photo-collage, and moving images. His work explores personal narratives and mythologies embedded in Thai political history, often through queer perspectives and fantasy-infused storytelling as metaphorical reflections of lived realities. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Still Photography and aspires to become a full-time artist.

His solo exhibition Naree on a White Horse was held at Kathmandu Photo Gallery, Bangkok (September 28 – November 23, 2024). In the same year, he presented Dhevacene Fraction I (In the Scene of Four Heavenly Kings) at the PHIMAILONGWEEK art festival in Phimai Old Town, Nakhon Ratchasima.
